James Wood

James Wood is a singer, pianist and songwriter with a powerful voice, expressive piano playing and an unassuming way of making people stop and listen.

An impromptu performance of ‘Life on Mars?’ at Hull station brought him an unexpected worldwide audience when a passer-by’s recording went viral. A spontaneous moment at a public piano became the beginning of a professional musical career.

For The Key Sessions, James brings his own songwriting into the spotlight. Expect original music delivered with the vocal range, musical finesse and feeling that made that chance encounter worth sharing.
